What is the liquid rule at Frankfurt and Munich in 2026?
Frankfurt depends on the checkpoint: most Terminal 1 and all Terminal 3 checkpoints use CT scanners, but C1, C2, C4, C6, special Terminal 1 checkpoints and transfer checks keep 100ml in a 1-litre bag. Munich's official pages conflict — one says 2 litres per container at all checkpoints, others still describe conventional checkpoints. In both cases, packing to 100ml is the safe choice.
Do German airports allow more than 100ml via CT scanners?
Some checkpoints do — at Frankfurt, Berlin Brandenburg and possibly all of Munich — but not every lane, and transfer checks may still apply 100ml. Follow the signage at your checkpoint and pack to 100ml if you can't be sure.
