How the 100ml rule works in Portugal

The allowance is per container, not per liquid. You can carry several 100ml bottles, as long as they all fit inside a single transparent resealable bag of roughly 1 litre, one bag per passenger. ANA Aeroportos de Portugal — operator of Lisbon, Porto and Faro — currently publishes this rule on its security pages, and it applies whether you're flying short-haul within Europe or long-haul out of Portugal.

What if your bottle is over 100ml?

At Portuguese airports any single container over 100ml in your hand luggage will normally be confiscated at security, even if it's only part full. Either pack the bottle in checked baggage, decant into a 100ml travel bottle, or buy a smaller version after security.
