Edinburgh to Amsterdam Schiphol liquid rules
EDI → AMS · United Kingdom → Netherlands
Pack to the stricter known rule. One airport is unconfirmed. Default to 100ml if any airport is unknown.
Rule basis: AMS is still pending review — pack to the 100ml fallback for that airport.
What to do: Conservative packing fallback: containers of 100ml or less, all in one clear resealable bag of up to 1 litre, ready to take out at security. Exceptions: EDI: Metallic or double-walled containers (flasks, thermos, metal water bottles) must be empty at the checkpoint.
Liquid Limits is a travel planning tool, not an official aviation source. Always confirm with the airport before you travel.

What to pack in cabin baggage
Conservative packing fallback: containers of 100ml or less, all in one clear resealable bag of up to 1 litre, ready to take out at security. This works at both EDI and AMS, including any exceptions listed above. Keep medications and contact lens solution accessible — they can usually go above the limit.
What to check in hold luggage
Full-size shampoo, perfume, sunscreen, olive oil, jam — anything over the limit. Wrap glass in clothes and seal liquids in plastic bags in case pressure changes pop the lids.
