What are the current Gatwick liquid rules?
Gatwick Airport currently allows containers up to 2 litres in hand luggage. New CT scanners mean you don't need a clear bag and liquids can stay in your cabin bag, according to Gatwick's own security page.
Can I take more than 100ml of liquid through Gatwick?
Yes — LGW currently accepts containers up to 2L in cabin baggage. This is one of the more generous UK allowances, but Gatwick warns rules can revert, so always check on the day.
Do I need a clear bag at Gatwick Airport?
No — Gatwick Airport does not currently require liquids to be in a 1-litre clear resealable bag, and they can stay inside your hand luggage through the CT scanners.
Is the Gatwick 2L liquid rule permanent?
It's the current published rule at LGW, but the UK regulator can require airports to revert to 100ml at short notice. Pack decant bottles as a fallback and check the Gatwick security page before you travel.
